Punch
Youth board

Shape the future of creativity in the West Midlands.
Punch is launching a paid Youth Board and we’re looking for ambitious, thoughtful creatives aged 18–25 to join us.

If you care about access, representation and creating real opportunities for young people, this is your chance to influence how one of the region’s leading creative organisations works — from the inside.

You won’t just observe. You’ll help shape.

About the Youth Board

Punch operates at the intersection of music, culture, education and social impact - delivering major cultural projects while developing the next generation of creative artists and leaders across Birmingham and the West Midlands. Our Youth Board brings together emerging talent to help shape how Punch works with and for young people.

As a Youth Board member, you will:

  • Contribute to organisational decision-making

  • Ensure our programmes and communications connect with young people across the West Midlands

  • Review campaign plans and generate new ideas for social and digital content

  • Influence youth programmes and discover how opportunities are created

  • Attend monthly meetings and selected music & cultural events across the UK

  • Feed directly into senior leadership - with two representatives of the Youth Board attending Punch’s Board of Directors meetings

This is an opportunity to create work at a professional, large-scale level.

Youth Board members are paid for their time and have meaningful input into real decisions about what Punch puts out into the world.

commitment

  • 8 - 12 paid meetings between Spring 2026 and Early 2027

  • A mix of daytime and evening sessions

  • Most meetings will take place in Birmingham

  • Occasional paid preparation or feedback work between sessions

  • Members must attend at least 75% of sessions

All sessions will be scheduled in advance.
Travel expenses are covered.

You don’t need formal experience - just perspective, passion and commitment.
