Are you a music artist or poet that wants to get involved? We have two opportunities for you…
Captivated Documentary + Music Video
• A short documentary featuring musicians & poets discussing the effects of the pandemic and why they're bouncing into the new year better than ever and ready for the world to keep all eyes locked on them
• Captivated will also produce a 5 minute music video, where between 6 - 8 musicians are given up to 30 seconds to takeover the track and keep listeners captivated
Contest + Online Sharing
• An instrumental will be released online this August. We are looking for artists from Birmingham to write, record, and send in a response to the track. All applicants will get the chance to have their verses shared online AND the best response may win a special prize.
MUSIC VIDEO + DOCUMENTARY
Paid Artist Opportunity
We are recruiting between 6 - 8 artists to take part in Captivated.
Each artist will:
- Write a verse or chorus to an instrumental created by a Birmingham-based producer
- Share their story about how COVID-19 and the pandemic has affected them and their career/artistry, in a mini documentary
- Record their verse at a Birmingham-based recording studio in August
- Film the music video & mini doc in a Birmingham-based location in September
We are looking for:
- Birmingham based rappers, singers, spoken word artists with a story to tell about how the pandemic has affected them
- Fresh and exciting artists that will captivate the city
Artists will receive:
- £300 for taking part (which must include travel to the recording studio & filming location)
- Credit and promotion on Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter & more
